Key Role:

Apply expertise to assess a DoD organization's information environment and recommend improvements using IT and collaborative tools. Assess the usage of IT capabilities and recommend IT process improvement initiatives. Conduct technical analysis as directed by the government to enable data driven decisions to identify options or validate courses of action in the development and execution of enterprise level services. Provide data supported recommendations on directorate-proposed IT requirements, including utility, integration, and supportability of applications within the enterprise and the Joint Information Environment (JIE). Develop SharePoint and Knowledge Management tools based in support of user requirements, review and provide recommendations to Joint staff baseline requirements documents, and develop workflows to streamline business processes. Support the development of a Knowledge Management strategy in which the organization will centralize data, standardize data elements, share database information, use common IT systems, and expose IT data or services for maximum information sharing. Create, maintain, archive, and present metrics in support of Knowledge Management transformation and process improvement efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience in a Knowledge Management or engineering role

-Experience with Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) App Builder or previous MCSD SharePoint Applications

-Knowledge of Joint Staff business processes

-Ability to develop SharePoint and Knowledge Management tools

-Ability to develop point papers and presentations for senior government civilians and military leaders

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering or CS

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Joint Staff or other major headquarters staff

-Experience with Joint Staff Directives and management system

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
