Overview:

The pharmacy intern works under the supervision of pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records. The pharmacy intern licensure qualifies the intern for preparing and dispensing drug orders. All interns work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Required High School diploma or equivalent with strong mathematical skills. Completion of education of one year in pharmacy school to obtain Pharmacy Intern License.
  • Licensure: Intern license is maintained through year 4 of pharmacy school.
  • Experience: Retail or hospital experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Licensed pharmacy intern.
  • Other: Completion of 2 years of pharmacy school.
