Job Description

Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Specialist position is within the Department of Industrial Engineering and will be working primarily with the graduate programs for Master of Science in Operations Management and Master of Science in Engineering Management. The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for coordinating office activities, researching and preparing special reports, and developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by supervisor. This position assists in coordinating requisitions and travel for program directors and staff. The Administrative Specialist III functions as office manager, managing textbook (including inclusive access) for faculty and staff; retrieving, collating, analyzing, and providing ongoing reports from various data sources to directors to make data-driven decisions on enrollment, budget, travel, and various administrative functions; uses charts and other visualization means to convey the meaning of presented data. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

  • At least four years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience at the University of Arkansas

  • Experience working with various University software systems

  • Experience in project management and working in a team/collaborative environment will be preferred
