We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Operations to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Working closely with a lead Business Specialist, you will prepare and maintain budgets, establish earnings plans, and develop estimates at completion of assigned government aerospace/defense projects. Under supervision, this role will apply Earned Value Management, finance, and accounting skills; approve requisitions and prepare financial reporting on major defense programs; use metrics associated with management best practices; and prepare reports to reflect awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash. You may assist proposal teams, develop Bases-of-Estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed.

We've begun hiring for our third facility in the Huntsville area, a 379,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility near the Huntsville airport that will specialize in the production and assembly of inert solid rocket motor components. We are also continuing to grow at our Huntsville center of excellence for Missile Solutions Program Management and Engineering, as well as our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in north Huntsville, where we produce advanced propulsion products.

60% - Perform budgeting, forecasting, forward pricing estimates, ETC/EAC, revenue recognition (605/606), monitor cash flow and performance measurement system status (EVM) and maintenance utilizing computers/systems as required to perform responsibilities and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
20% - Review and analyze contract status/progress and prepare variance analysis reports apprising management of trends and anomalies which effect performance.
10% - Evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data (Risk Management) in various forms and formats using proper accounting principles, practices and procedures.
5% - Utilize organizational skills to effectively coordinate schedules and work flow utilizing the knowledge of operations (manufacturing, engineering, test, etc.) as required to accomplish assigned activities and an understanding of business management systems.
5% - Using knowledge of governmental accounting methods, procedures and regulations, determine solutions to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and Six (6) years of directly related experience (transactional accounting, audit or business analysis) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
