Job Description

Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As I&E Tech you would be required to maintain all instrument and electrical equipment to standards in order to maintain plant reliability and customer satisfaction.

-Zero Personal First Aid/Injuries
-Participate in the LIVES program-Comply with all ALA Policies including Responsible Care
-Troubleshoot plant instrument/electrical and control system problems
-Work closely with contractors and monitor contractor work quality-Mentor I/E Technician Apprentices
-Actively participate in RCAs-Participate in the execution and improvement of the facility's IandE PMs
-Execute work orders, identify corrective maintenance activities and enter work orders into the CMMS
-Maintain test equipment calibration and associated records
-Maintain equipment records in both the CMMS and written form
-Maintain facility PID schematics-Assist Maintenance Coordinator in maintaining equipment manuals
-Be familiar with Reliability Center and Corporate standards
-Rack in/out breakers and switchgear as necessary
-Perform routine inspections on equipment as per Reliability Center standards-Follow company safety policies and procedures
-Able to draw control and wiring scheme's
-Able to manage I&E contractor's that come on site to support major turnarounds

____________________Are you a MATCH?

-High school diploma or equivalent education-2 year associates degree in a technical field or technical training
-4+ years I&E experience
-Perform maintenance, repairs, and calibration of analyzers, transmitters, control valves, etc
-Basic understanding of the facility's control system
-Thorough knowledge of the operation and safety aspects of the MCC/switchgear
-An understanding of the facility processes-Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
-Knowledge of the use of a computerized maintenance management system
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Mastery of Pneumatic controls is a plus.
