We are seeking a Specialist Engineer - Project/Product for our Orlando, Florida location. This individual will plan and perform Electronic and Mechanical program tasks in conjunction with program management. Under limited general direction, the candidate will implement design and analysis tasks, perform special studies, lead IRAD tasks and hardware/test requirements. The candidate will also lead major technical design reviews with AR Coleman and their customers, lead MRBs/FRBs, support Risk Boards, support Change Control Boards, and provide technical leadership in problem investigations/resolutions. 50% - Support Engineering teams working on electronic and mechanical system development and production program tasks/problem resolution, etc. Coordinate engineering work; manage technical progress, risk, schedule, and cost as needed.
30% - Provide communication of program status to the Engineering Director, Program Manager, and Senior Staff. Program status includes overall program health, technical design and development results, risk management status, schedule and cost reporting. Responsible for overseeing/directing preparation of technical reports, presentations, and customer design reviews.
10% - Utilize organizational skills to effectively coordinate schedules and work flow utilizing the knowledge of operations (manufacturing, engineering, test, etc.) as required to accomplish assigned activities and an understanding of business management systems.
5% - Provide technical consultation to Program Management and Business Development organizations for business development activities such as writing white papers or preparing and presenting technical briefings to customers.
5% - Provide technical support on proposals to government customers or prime contractors for engineering development or technology programs.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field, plus nine (9) years of experience in design and project management of mechanical and electrical systems and components or aerospace hardware, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
