Minimum Qualifications:
BSN required Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active BLS
Four (4) years in nursing. Special project involvement, experience as RN IV, Charge Nurse, or Team Lead
Current Registered Nurse License
Two (2) years of experience in a leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or RN IV level at UAMS)
Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with other effectively
Ability to document services provided
Understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations/agencies
Excellent customer relations skills
Understands and abides by confidentiality policies.
Preferred Experience:
Master's in Nursing
Experience in an academic medical setting
National Nursing Certification in the specialty area of for the position
Knowledgeable in medical terminology
Additional Information:
Responsibilities
Assesses and designs training and/or educational programs to address identified deficiencies/learning needs.
The CS understands and assures the use of adult learning principles and culturally appropriate initiatives and imparts this knowledge to faculty/staff as appropriate.
This position will identify barriers or concerns which interfere with the learning process and suggests alternatives for resolution; consults with departments, staff, and managers to determine goals.
The Clinical Specialist will establish and lead process improvement initiatives.
