We are currently seeking a Senior CNC Programming and Vericut Engineer to join our NC programming team at our facility in Canoga Park, California.
This position may be filled at the level posted or one level higher.

With minimal direction, the CNC Programming and Vericut Engineer is responsible for:
80% - Use VERICUT 3D solids-based software to simulate the material removal process of an NC program. Be able to use the software to depict multi-axis milling/drilling as well as multi-axis turning and combination mill/turn machining issues. Work seamlessly with the NC programmers to discuss issues found during the Vericut projects to ensure the accuracy and quality of the NC program before it gets released to the floor. Create new Vericut Machine Configurations for new machine tools that are brought into the factory. Modify Vericut Machine Configurations when issues arise or changes need to be made
20% - Participating in knowledge sharing and cross training activity within the NC programming group. Work on corrective action teams to support root cause analysis investigations.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and at least five (5) years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in the use of Vericut software and CNC programming.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment is mostly computer based with some on-site indoor activity required with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. Will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, when proving out CNC programs on the shop floor with Machinists. Will also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May be required to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
