Job Overview

We have an immediate need for an Operations Program Integrator at our Huntsville, Alabama Advanced Manufacturing Facility.

In this role, you will lead and represent the Operations team across multiple sites in developing and executing maturity and transition plans for development stage programs. This role will be the primary interface with key team members to ensure alignment of Operations and Program objectives across multiple sites.

The key responsibilities are:

    Team Leadership - creating plans to integrate several cross-functional groups such as manufacturing engineering, tool engineering/design, and manufacturing operations so that products can be developed and delivered per schedule and budget targets.
  • Influencing and aligning expectations and execution of program and operations team's objectives.
  • Developing relationships with cross-functional teams, often times across multiple sites.
  • Ability to remain collected and manage expectations while requirements are still developing.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

Essential Functions

60% - Establish and oversee program plans for the operations site teams to successfully execute the program requirements relative to schedule, cost, and performance/quality. This will include hardware manufacturing, tool design and fabrication, staffing, process development, and facility needs.


30% - Interface with program teams members and customers to ensure the program needs and site plans are in alignment. Develop recovery plans when issue arise and coordinate applicable corrective actions.


10% - Work special projects as assigned and recommend improvements to key processes that would improve the overall flow of the site's products.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related major and at least two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to technical problems with minimum supervision.
  • Experience and familiarity with MS Office products required.
  • Experience with composite manufacturing in the aerospace industry is highly desired.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
