In addition to fieldwork, the candidate will be required to assist with laboratory activities, including plant, soil, and water sample preparation, nutrient extraction, and chemical analysis. There will be some data entry and depending on specific projects, data analysis, interpretation, and report generation.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in agronomy, soil science, plant science, agribusiness, or a related discipline plus three years of related experience in basic statistics, and conducting field trials in corn, cotton, rice, soybean, and cover crop; OR a M.S. in agronomy, soil science, plant science, agribusiness, or a related discipline.
Previous experience with small-plot research management and plant and soil sampling is required. Additionally, the candidate will need some basic background in laboratory methods (soil and plant sample preparation and analysis), farm equipment operation, and computer software.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in an agricultural or related field is desirable.
