As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is recognized regionally and nationally for leading and/or contributing to cutting-edge research, and advancing the knowledge about kidney diseases to patients, peers, and trainees. The division offers an exciting array of training opportunities in Nephrology, including enhanced training in transplantation, dialysis, quality improvement, and patient safety.
The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for inpatient consultative care in all aspects of kidney disorders in medical or surgical settings, including ICU care. This role will involve the equivalent of one-half day clinic session per week and rounding on chronic dialysis shift patients in the community settings in Batesville, Indiana. There is no expectation of night call. Based on the clinical needs, weekend rounding may be available for an additional renumeration per the division/department standards. The candidate will round as a team with a Nephrologist, and there will be an optimal balance of autonomy as well as supervised/split-shared care based on the clinical needs.
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
