In this role, you will be heading a team in the Motion NEMA Motors, driving efficient and cost effective production results to meet requirements, specifications and targets by coordinating and plant equipment, personnel and production processes. You will be responsible to Direct the development and implementation of activities in the Plant to meet HSE and production goals, quality and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Responsible for the economical results of the plant and achieving the annual operating plan. Support continuous improvement activities.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for all the activities related to the Plant
  • Provide leadership for implementation of the manufacturing strategy, customer focused initiatives and daily operations for a plant responsible for assigned manufacturing and assembly operations
  • Responsible for the results/trend of the Plant regarding HS&E (Health, Safety & Environment) aspects
  • Manage, with the support of the HS&E Manager, the legislative external communications on HS&E aspects
  • Achieve high customer service levels by meeting Delivery and Quality PPM targets
  • Develop and recommend the annual operating plan and capital budgets for the operation of the plant
  • Responsible to meet or exceed all financial targets (conversion, cost, inventory, headcount, etc.)
  • by continuously improving the processes and implementing new programs in the facility
  • Lead the implementation of Strategic Business Entity and Corporate Initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, HOS, Continuous Improvement, Cost and Inventory Management and continued growth in change management through high performance work organization
  • Assure SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning) for the plant
  • Drive internal resources review process within the plant to assure top talent, bench strength and career development
  • As a manager provides support to his/her team members by coaching activities
  • Manages the development of his/her team members through the PDA (Performance and Development Appraisal) process and identify appropriate development & trainings in accordance with HR (Human Resource) department
  • Responsible for maintaining positive employee relations & executing labor strategy for smooth operations in cost effective manner (example excessive OT, labor movement between plants etc.)
  • Liaising with customer teams for demand forecasting and other customer issues
  • Lead the implementation of Motion Operations initiatives including lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, cost and inventory reduction and continued growth in change management through high performance work organization
  • Generate results in global business locations/cultures
  • Create a positive working environment. Actively maintain positive employee relations and high engagement
  • Collaborate across functions and lead Business team (product management, engineering, manufacturing) for profitable growth
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 12 years experience. Advanced degree preferred (Major Preferred: Engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing) and minimum 8 years experience in progressive leadership assignments.
  • Minimum of 5 years directly related to operations experience.
  • Proven Lean Manufacturing skills and significant previous experience in Lean environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma - Core Green Belt Certified / Black Belt - preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience of managing people, coaching methodology and ability of developing others (team members).
  • HS&E Management System experience.
  • Good ability in managing short term results with long-term process improvement requirements
  • Understanding of financial controls & budgetary responsibilities with experience of managing a large project or departmental budget
  • Excellent planning & organizing skills with experience of determining priorities, coordinating multiple activities meeting multiple deadlines related to the plant
  • Excellent Ability to lead change management initiatives
  • Up to 15% travel requirement.
