Georgia Pacific in Crossett, AR is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of electrical engineering activities, including project management, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. If you have a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or possess at least 3 years of electrical high voltage experience in an industrial setting, we encourage you to apply.

The Georgia Pacific Mill located in Crossett, AR provides a safe, modern community at the heart of some of the finest hunting, fishing, and wildlife locations in the South, yet is a short drive to shopping, food, and entertainment centers and within hours of major urban centers.

What You Will Do

  • Project management for all types of projects.
  • Maintain mill one-line drawing and SKM one line current.
  • Maintain Arc Flash ratings for equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting of high voltage equipment.
  • Lead RCA's for electrical failures within the mill and ensure corrective actions are documented.
  • Responsible for mill electrical outages, scope of work, lockout planning, schedule, supervision of work.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or three (3) years electrical high voltage experience in an industrial setting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Interdisciplinary knowledge or background (mechanical, chemical, instrumentation, controls, electrical, etc.).
  • Motivation to find and pursue opportunities to improve project competitiveness.
  • Working knowledge and application of VFD's, SKM Model, and HAC analysis.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, UL, and CSA.
