Overview

The Senior National Retail Analyst will support the National Retail Account Director and Team through analytical support, sales insights and solutions for Walmart & Sam's Club. This position will lead the effort to review and translate data sources (internal, customer POS, & syndicated) into actionable insights, strategy and tactics. This position will also leverage insights to focus on improving product assortment, placement, and promotions, as well as assist in the planning, forecasting, execution tracking, and tool building for key initiatives with Walmart & Sam's Club. This position will lead all aspects and functions, forecasting, New Item Set-up & management, Execution Tracking, Out of Stock improvement, On Time In Full performance, inventory/ supply chain issues and opportunities and ad-hoc sales support.

This position must be based from the Rogers, Arkansas office to operate in a hybrid capacity (2 days in the office, 3 days from home).

Responsibilities
    Support operational, supply chain/inventory and sales initiatives for all BBG markets with Walmart & Sam's Club. Ensure OTIF's benchmarks are achieved, Provide & Review forecasts and update to ensure In-Stock levels are achieved, Monitor BBG state inventories and communicate issues and opportunities with Walmart & Sam's, and all internal stakeholders. Work with NAM's and KAM's to minimize refusals, out-of-stock and new item voids. Develop/modify weekly reporting and communication cadences. Work closely with sales team leading all deliverables as it relates the role/ scope, and Lead all Ad hoc projects.
  • Run reports, develop scorecards and reporting tools to communicate, track and monitor key initiatives and programs. Work across all markets to monitor in-stocks and sales performance and proactively communicate opportunities, risks and issues. Review monthly pricing opportunities and monitor compliance. Lead tool development to streamline communication, tracking and selling efforts.
  • Performs analysis against the strategic priorities and goals for the National Retail Team (VP, Sr. Director, NAM's). Conducts descriptive and predictive analysis on velocity, price levels, promotional activities, and distribution for WM/SC; and persuasively communicates business insights to key stakeholders along the National Retail Value chain (Retailer, Supplier & Breakthrough).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business administration, supply chain, economics, statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years overall work experience within DSD environment - Adult beverage and/or CPG industry a plus
    Minimum of 3-5 years in an analytical role within sales/marketing, finance, business strategy, or a related function required
  • 3+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, Sales and/or Operations
  • Walmart Retail Link/Luminate, NOVA and Item 360 experience preferred
  • Experience using Syndicated, POS, and Depletion data (i.e. Nielsen, IRI, retail Link, SAP) preferred
  • Systems expertise required, proficiency in internal data mining applications (ie. DSS, Diver, HANA/BOBJ, SAP); ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Ability to generate high quality sales, and/or financial analysis & translate to actionable insights
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, passion for problem solving and learning the business and strong diagnostics skills
  • Expert proficiency in Excel and Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to persuasively communicate business insights to key stakeholders; includes excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, and to proactively lead projects by collaborating with partners across the organization
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; Deadline driven & ability to manage team to deliver within required timelines
