Assistant Manager, Modular Development & Analytics

The Assistant Manager, In-Store Strategy and Planogramming, is a comprehensive role that includes working closely with Walmart, Sales, Visual Merchandisers, Fixture Development and cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, Forecasting, Sales and our vendors to ensure successful in-store planning. Key responsibilities in this role include the development of the Walmart CoverGirl planograms, management of all deliverables related to the Walmart modular relay process and national reporting on CoverGirl, Sally Hansen and Rimmel brands.

The role requires working with multiple analytical software such as Nielsen, MS Access, MS Excel, and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning Plus with the goal of delivering results that maximize team efficiency.

Eg.

The Assistant Manager will report primarily into the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising, and collaborate closely with the Walmart, Sales, Marketing and Wall Strategy teams.

The Assistant Manager will have excellent analytical skills and use facts and data analysis to identify solutions and solve complex problems successfully.

In this role you will:

  • Develop WM CoverGirl POGs for internal review and for drawing in partnership with internal Wall Strategy team evaluating door counts, seasonal incremental deletes
  • Own and manage all Coty Cosmetics deliverables relating to Walmart's Modular Relay process
  • Provide preliminary and final POG proofing graphic codes/SKU layout for each POG
  • Execute Relay with 3rd party and any applicable components (manage meetings, create surveys/instructions/reset pack, etc)
  • Manage and provide input on all CoverGirl Cosmetics modular graphics including with WM team and RTC fixture vendor
  • Attend and present POG Strategy with retailer and provide line review support including new item sales kits, wall samples, add/deletes and door count input
  • Create and deliver compelling modular story for the customer to leverage
  • Leverage category, sales, and shopper insights to optimize modulars and uncover growth opportunities
  • Set and maintain multiple modulars within Coty Showroom and Walmart Layout Center twice a year
  • Conduct pre and post mod, footage change, cluster and $/S/ft and adh-hoc analysis and update POD tracker
  • Attend and provide Wall input in weekly cross-functional PO1 and Timeline meetings (CoverGirl, Sally Hansen, Rimmel), bi-weekly creative agency meeting (CoverGirl), weekly FRS meeting (Rimmel, Sally Hansen), weekly fixture vendor meetings (Array, RTC)
  • Serve as key point of contact with SMSB to develop and create seasonal Sally Hansen Corporate planograms for FSO team & attend weekly meeting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Top 5 customer teams, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Demand Planning in developing the SKU Prioritizations for each respective brand and season for Sally Hansen, Rimmel, CoverGirl
  • Create, maintain and distribute monthly Productivity Report to all cross functional teams and Senior Leadership
  • Assist in maintaining and update the In-Store Strategy and Execution proprietary database
  • Work closely with Visual Merchandisers and Fixture Development in the process of creating and maintaining graphic, plastic, and metal components in the proprietary group databases
  • In-Store Strategy and Execution team's lead contact for all communications with the international coding department
  • Create and distribute quarterly top customer Tray Values & seasonal comprehensive distribution tracker
  • Provide performance analytics for strategic merchandising in the marketplace
  • Prepare ProSpace tools for the beginning of each season for all cosmetic brands
  • Share out final retailer planogram renderings and reset calendars with broad team each season
  • Ad-hoc planogram and merchandising projects

QUALIFICATIONS

We'd love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ year's prior experience in consumer package goods company preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Advanced MS Excel & Access skills
  • Knowledge of VBA programming and Macros (MS Access)
  • Familiar in Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning Software; including IKB and ProSpace.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, interpretive, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop presentations that execute product, company and customer business plans
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the consumer products industry, the category, brand strategies, competitors, classes of trade, with the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems successfully
  • Demonstrates effective communication and negotiation skills to solve problems, gain agreement with and inform others, while targeting long-term objectives. Uses facts and data analysis to identify good options and make good decisions.
