Required Education and/or Work Experience: Must possess a masters or higher degree in dental hygiene or related field. Must be a graduate from a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Must have a minimum of two years' clinical experience. Must hold a current unencumbered RDH license with a local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certificate. Must be current in CPR and hold an Arkansas state license or be eligible to obtain an Arkansas RDH license.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Hold a Master's degree or higher in dental hygiene or related field or be currently enrolled in a Master's program. Preferred experience of more than five years' clinical practice and/or preferred experience in instructional methods and evaluation procedures in higher education.

Working Relationships: Develops effective working relationships within the Dental Hygiene Program, College of Health Education and Human Sciences, UA Fort Smith, and community.
List Employees Supervised: None Special Job Dimensions: Requires abilities that include walking, standing for up to eight hours, bending, reaching, turning, listening, observation, and moderate lifting. Must be physically and emotionally able to complete all job requirements. Travel required to meetings at least twice a year and professional development activities. If hired, must comply with blood borne pathogen prevention protocol and with Sentry MD documentation as a part of UAFS CHEHS faculty requirements.
