Job Overview

Under guidance from the Finance Business Systems Manager, the Finance Business Systems Specialist works in cooperation with finance business systems analyst staff, finance leadership, and finance functional staff to support functional users, prepare and maintain documentation for overall finance department systems, complete and document established data integration tasks, and document process performance metrics. Works independently to solve user support issues, execute best practices in process documentation, and manage and maintain SharePoint internet sites and document libraries.

This is role provides hybrid work flexibility.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Maintains current knowledge, but is not responsible for, tasks from the Book of Work for managing Finance system and process projects including documentation methodology, standard tools and templates, library structure, maintenance, and periodic review process. Prepares and maintains documentation in SharePoint libraries.
  • Supports functional users through responding to non-technical support tickets at a Tier 0/1 level.
  • Prepares documentation and maintains SharePoint library for results from frequent testing, validation, and reconciliation of technologies, applications, processes, review documentation, and integrity of Finance systems.
  • Attends meetings and prepares documentation for critical business processes and strategies about future system needs.
  • Prepares updates of documentation of accounting policies and procedures manual.
  • Prepares documentation and maintains SharePoint library for the design, implementation, and measurement of key metrics by department/staff to create more efficient structure and improve performance.
  • Prepares documentation for the training program for new Finance staff, on-boarding new sites, and remedial training initiatives to include documentation and compliance.
  • Prepares documentation of best practices to provide reasonable assurance systems, internal controls, and processes are consistently followed across all locations.
  • Completes established step-by-step weekly data integration process from Lawson to Oracle for Finance labor data to Projects and documents results in SharePoint library.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • Associate degree in business or information technology related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education as follows:
    • Two years of progressively responsible business and/or IT experience.
