Join our team as the Sourcing Manager for Capital and concentrate on establishing and executing strategic sourcing methods and procedures for acquiring machinery, equipment, and associated services, including construction, electrical, and plumbing contractors. You will have the opportunity to drive the implementation of an efficient North American capital acquisition strategy aimed at enhancing organizational value, serving as a catalyst for change. The Capital Sourcing Manager will develop a deep understanding of the equipment and services essential for business operations, build relationships with existing and prospective suppliers, and contribute value through active involvement in the sourcing process.

CORE ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Develop comprehensive and dynamic sourcing strategies; effectively supports business unit strategy with a
focus on delivering business needs; and effectively communicate an executive summary of the category
strategy to business unit owners & executives. Mentor others on category strategy development.
* Select global strategic and non-strategic suppliers who have the ability to deliver best net value, product
development, innovation, and competitiveness requirements.
* Identify new innovation opportunities which may be a source of competitive advantage and communicate
those opportunities to stakeholders
* Develop and manage supplier base for global solutions. Lead suppliers' discussions focused on cost
reduction, risk mitigation and value improvement. Complete category analysis on price and cost, supplier
comparison, market, and industry trends.
* Study and understand the global markets, staying abreast of changing dynamics, and developing sources of
market intelligence.
* Support internal and external customers in the development of commercial terms with suppliers, problem
solving, pricing matrix, supply chain optimization, resolving raw material quality issues, completing and
communication of supplier performance reviews.
* Develop, coordinates, and negotiates long-term supply strategies, supply agreements and contracts.
* Develop industry, product, and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers. Become an expert on
the marketplace, supply sources, and competition.
* Forges key strategic relationships with strategic suppliers and industry leaders and develops those
relationships, being mindful of long-term mutually beneficial objectives as well as providing the business
with access to supplier innovation.
* Perform project management, by leading and influencing sourcing projects

Capital Sourcing:
* Collaborate with other departments to transition the capital sourcing processes from tactical to strategic
* Implement Strategic Sourcing best practices & processes into the capital sourcing process to drive value
* Identify global strategic and non-strategic suppliers who have the ability to deliver best net value, product
development, innovation, and competitiveness requirements.
* Negotiate terms & conditions, Performance Specifications, Acceptance Criteria, Liquidated Damages,
Payment Terms and implement appropriate contracts and/or purchase order terms of sale with suppliers
where applicable

CORE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of six years of strategic sourcing experience or experience in a related discipline. Additional
required/specific experience may be listed by specialty.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related is required. MBA
preferred. CPSM, CPIM or C.P.M. preferred. May consider years of experience and education in lieu of
degree.
* Excellent verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
* Ability to perform market and industry trend analysis, evaluate supply sources, and assist customers by
identifying solutions to their needs.
* Ability to analyze data and make recommendations and appropriate business decisions.
* Ability to perform market surveys and to analyze cost and pricing data
* Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts and modeling techniques to evaluate alternative and
provide recommendations
* Ability to plan negotiation strategies and effectively negotiate terms and conditions
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet impending deadlines
* Ability to perform timely & effective RFQ/RFP preparation & analysis
* Ability to read and comprehend complex contracts/agreements
* Ability to build and foster healthy internal and external relationships
* Ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and suppliers
* Ability to mentor and develop associates on Sourcing best practices
* Contract writing skills to establish contracts/agreements and leases
* Excellent knowledge of contract law & Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
* A strong background in manufacturing
* A high-energy, self-motivated individual that can develop and implement strategies
* Strong analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to articulate thoughts and sell ideas to diverse group
* Ability to lead by developing consensus and igniting action in others
* Negotiates with a high level of discretion, and in situations that are of high complexity, and have a high
business impact.

Preferred Capital Sourcing Qualifications
* A mechanical aptitude, maintenance, and/or engineering knowledge/expertise are strongly preferred
* A strong understanding of the financial aspects of capital expenditures - ROI, NPV, cash flow, total cost of
ownership
* Experience with sourcing contractors to meet internal needs
* Ability to read and understand blueprints / CAD drawings
* A working knowledge of engineering terminology and technical processes and equipment.
* Proven change management skills

Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10-15%.
