Salary Range: $90,000.00/Yr. - $118,000.00/Yr.

The ideal candidate must have effective communication skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The Data Engineer will work with cross functional teams, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure on the Azure cloud platform, utilizing Fabric technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary focus: collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to support company data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Continuous education which includes staying up to date on the latest advancements in data engineering and/or cloud technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on the Azure cloud platform using Fabric technology.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to provide them with clean, reliable, and accessible data for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues with data pipelines, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices for data engineering tasks.
  • Build and optimize data models to support efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Recommend best practices for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services, particularly with Fabric technology (Migrating to Azure Fabric).
  • Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing data pipelines.
  • Expertise working with SQL database design, as well as data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, React or Scala.
  • Must have expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • OLTP experience with SSRS/OLAP experience with SSIS.
  • Big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks.

Desired Qualifications:

  • DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Certifications a plus.
