Job Description

The Manager, Learning and Business Strategy is responsible for developing and facilitating learning program solutions relevant to the commercial business needs supported by Lending Support managers and employees. This position requires an understanding of adult learning principles, effective coaching skills, and the ability to adapt to and manage a variety of learning styles while monitoring learner progress. This position demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills with a high level of business acumen and effective collaboration with multiple teams and subject matter experts. Learning and Business Strategy creates and maintains procedures, curriculum, and measurements of knowledge and practice to support business strategies and accelerate employee development for quality output and optimal customer service. This role provides recommendations on best practices and continuous improvement in order to drive business results, enhance the employee experience, and ensure alignment with BOKF Commercial goals and policies.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will explore learning resources and trends. You will also recommend additional tools or technology to enhance development efforts.
  • You will set up learning programs, coach, and motivate to boost employee performance and development in line with commercial lending practices, and provide feedback during new hire and ongoing training.
  • You will facilitate training in various settings and develop self-serve learning modules aligned with business practices.
  • You will supervise training content and procedures to ensure they align with BOKF's current practices, policies, products, and regulations.
  • You will assess training needs, evaluate the impact of learning programs on employee skills and KPIs, and collaborate with internal teams to adapt training to workflow changes.
  • You will be responsible for leading change management initiatives, improving processes, and increasing efficiency through the use of technology.
  • You will collaborate with team managers, keeping abreast of changing staff and business goals, and informing them of any issues or changes in an employee's learning journey.
  • You will foster collaboration and customer service to improve team performance and capabilities, while actively supporting the company's mission, values, teamwork culture, and long-term goals.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in arelated field of study and 8-10 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to implement Commercial Banking training concepts, processes, and procedures through a full education cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, evaluate)
  • Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly and then translate knowledge to effective training
  • Practiced in instructional design with ability to create an engaged learning experience through all delivery channels including digital, virtual, and in-person
  • Track record of successfully identifying department needs and providing successful solutions through partnership with business leaders and team members
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, hosting presentations, and developing curriculum and data analytics
  • Confident public speaker with strong interpersonal skills who builds positive and productive relationships with teams across the organization and multiple levels of management
  • Excellent written communication skills including design and editing
  • Ability to work independently and strategize for solutions, maintaining flexibility and effective priorities
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, business intelligence applications and learning management systems
