Job description
* Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership of the pump and packaging assembly areas to ensure workflow is meeting schedule output
* Maintain expert level skill on all pump and packaging assembly processes and train assemblers on these processes
* Oversee department resources to maximize production efficiency
* Ensure employees have all required tools and materials to perform their daily jobs
* Assist Engineering department with RMA evaluations
* Take proper care of tools and measuring equipment (including cooling and oil)
* Ensure work areas are organized, clean and create safe working environment
* Be sure safety checks are being done in area and any issues are being addressed
* Coordinate with other department leaders to ensure production requirements are being met
* Provide daily feedback to management regarding output and any employee issues

Experience requirements
* 3-5 years of assembly experience required
* Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication
* Experience with hand tools, power tools and machinery

Knowledge
* Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams
* Adjust, operate, and understand set-up of machines and tools in your area to produce various parts with specifications from blueprints
* Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
* Forklift driving license is desirable

Educational requirements
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
* Some college coursework preferred
